A Very British Affair

Penhaligon's aim to deliver luxurious, scents to the

'discerning eccentrics of today'

through their understanding of the power of fragrance. The brand pride themselves on their British heritage; this is at the center of their brand identity and can be recognised in every product sold by Penhaligon's. Although personally I'm not quite on board with spending £160 on perfume, you have to admire the gorgeous woodland inspired bottles!

I would highly recommend visiting the brand's sight, if only to view their beautiful brand video on their homepage! The video begins as soon as you open the sight and although their's not necessarily a plot to the short clip, Penhaligon's create such a strong sense of their brand through elegant visuals and dramatic music.

Abigail Ahern's luxury Interiors

I recently came across some really interesting lamps being sold at Debenhams; a range of vintage-style lampshades held up by perfectly sculpted animals create a feeling of over-the-top luxury. I fell in love with these slightly ridiculous/gorgeous lamps straight away and have been admiring the work of Abigail Ahern ever since! Generally priced at £90-£95, these creatures aren't cheap but the luxurious fabrics and innovative designs are so very tempting.

Founded by Abigail Ahern herself in 2003, the brand can now be found in luxurious boutiques around the world. The brand beautifully describe their colour pallette as 'an array of intoxicating, dark, inky "bottom of the lake" hues' which really accurately highlight's the luxurious feel of their products. There's always a risk of snobbery with luxury products, but who can get upset about an orange gorilla holding up a lampshade?
